CONSULTATION FOR MOXI TREATMENT
Your provider will work with you to create a personalized treatment plan to meet your skincare goals. Typically, they will recommend the number of treatments needed, outline the timeline necessary to reach your goals, and provide pre and post-treatment instructions. Photos are usually taken before treatment and post-healing.
What to Expect on the Day of Your Treatment
Depending on the goals you’ve discussed with your provider, a topical numbing cream may be applied to your skin 30-45 minutes before your MOXI treatment.
During treatment, some practitioners may use cold air. This combination will help keep you comfortable.
The MOXI Experience
During the treatment, as the provider glides the MOXI laser across the skin, you may feel a slight warming sensation, which means the laser is doing its job.
MOXI creates micro-coagulation zones in the skin the body naturally repairs these zones and replaces damaged cells with healthy, vibrant skin.
POST TREATMENT CARE
Your post-care regimen is simple: Wear a moisturizing physical sunscreen and stay out of the sun. You may wear makeup 24 hours after treatment.
The day after MOXI, your skin may appear red, and, depending on your level of treatment, you may see the small micro dots called MENDs (microscopic epidermal necrotic debris) where the laser was applied. As the microzones heal, they will darken and feel rough. Between days 3 and 5, the mends will slough off, revealing new skin beneath.
Wash your skin morning and night with a gentle cleanser. Keep your skin moisturized and apply your favorite physical barrier sunscreen.
